Sometimes I think about Julian and Ty's relationship dynamic In TWP and it makes me cry, because Ty would be grown up, obviously hiding things from Julian and handling everything on his own. And then at some point Julian will find out about Livvy. And the way Julian is prone to sink into guilt and the feeling of 'not being enough/not doing enough' first would it wreck him apart? Would he blame himself ( especially because he was the NoFeelings!Julian when everything first happened and Ty had come to him, he just didn't listen) for whatever will happen with Ty to restore balance for attempting necromancy? Would he think he lost Ty? Would he re read the letter Ty wrote to Annabel? So much potential for angst!!!!

the dark artifices is just THAT shadowhunters series for me, like not only did it introduce and lay down some wild stuff for the wicked powers to take over, but everything happened in there. malec wedding, clace proposal, two parabatai falling in love (the literal bible verses said IN BED ahem), robert lightwood's past with michael, literally all the couples stories being fire (kieraktina, diana and that guy from the hunt, kit and ty, julian and emma ofc), jem and tessa (no explanation needed, i just love seeing them), and the whole vibe at the L.A. institute and in the seelie and unseelie courts, and THULE which was insane. if the wicked powers can't beat that, then i'm afraid nothing else comes close to it for me

with a few different people posting about their predictions for twp, a common thread I've noticed is there's usually something regarding Ty finding out about Kit being the First Heir.... I see we've all forgotten about Ty being up that tree lmao

Kit and Kieran's first meeting in LoS is so funny in retrospect because wdym the First Heir and the future Unseelie King are out here bonding over feeling ostracized by the Blackthorn family?

There is one random thought that just hasn’t left my mind since we discovered that Kit still dreams about Ty.

The last scene that Kit narrates in QoAaD where he is looking down at Ty and he says how he was away from all the noise, and the he said he hated himself in that moment because he wanted to go down there and protect Ty from all the noise. And I KNOW I just KNOW that he’s had at least ONE dream in which he went against his better judgement and instead of leaving with Jem and Tessa, he went down there with Ty.

Some thoughts i had while doing this post:

— Kit & Ty being completely and stupidly in love of course

— Ash & Kit bickering constantly while everyone else can clearly see that they are besties (my parabatai headcanon on them is very strong guys)

— so. many. pets. but for real, i don't know why shadowhunters don't have more pets, is there any canon explanation that i missed???

— Demons in the Louvre. I just think it'd be funny because there are so many angel statues and sculptures there lmao

I think a lot of people are forgetting that on tumblr fandom used to be practiced very differently. now everyone fucks off to their discords or tumblr groups to discuss everything with a select few, making tags be nearly only used for posting some finished fanworks or not at all

a decade ago people didn't have tumblr groups. people didn't even have dms. if you wanted to talk to anyone about anything you had to make a post, or send an ask (which more often than not would get published and thereby become a post in the end too)

so next time you think "I have a fandom thought but I have to find a small group of hyperspecifically like-minded people to share it with in private" remember all the freaks you could be missing out on meeting by keeping the tags dead. use tags, make friends. fuck discord.
