honestly i didn't really expect the general public to give a fuck about any of this but i love to see it! never shop at target again. seriously, just stop shopping there. you don't need any of that shit, none of it, stay away

Everyone wanted to be thicc but nobody wanted to be fat. Everyone wanted the dad bod but nobody wanted to be fat. Everyone wants fat mommy milkers but nobody wants mommy to be fat. Everyone wants to be a bear but not like, an actual fat bear. You get what i’m saying

Everyone wants the mistique of fatness or use the language of fatness to denote hotness without actually being fat or acknowledging that fat people or fatness can just be hot.

it is absolutely essential to have friends you can have extremely insane pervert conversations with. this is kind of what makes life worth living

quick linguistic history lesson. the term “woke” originates from african american communities to describe being “awake and aware” of the current sociopolitical climate. this term has been used since at least the 1930s. it wasnt until 2014 during the ferguson protests that the term entered the wider vernacular. mainly as a result of black twitter. and as is common with many things coined by the black community. it was repeated and commercialized to death to the point where now most people only using it mockingly. including people on the left. the point is. “woke” is not a bad word. the alt right wants it to be one.

Tumblr is odd because you’ll see a mutual post something really profound like “the birds still sing for those who listen” and you see them 5 minutes later saying something like “need to be pegged.grilled cheese style”

Actually that no punctuation plot hole ooc wattpad fanfic written by that 12 year old will ALWAYS be better than character ai. And I love that 12 year old btw

still thinking about how steady and sure and confident eddie is when 1) he knows what he wants, and 2) he knows he can have it. once he talked with chris and knew he wasn't really as happy as everyone thought he was, it was so EASY for him to march back into the lion's den and pack up all his stuff and not let a single thing his mom tried to throw at him drag him down. and of course i am also thinking about how this confidence will translate to buck once they're back home and eddie realizes 1) he's in love with him, and wants to be with him, and 2) he can have that, because buck wants to be with him too. and it's gonna be the easiest thing in the world to reach out and take it.

Also I've said this before but advertising is an industry that should be considered as pointless and harmful as fossil fuels.

"as harmful as fossil fuels? don't you think you're exaggerating a bit?" the world's largest and most sophisticated surveillance networks that gather incomprehensible amounts of personal data to make profits technological companies who are the largest corporations on the world and shapers of public opinion often for the worse, all do it for advertising.

Cut the head, just ban advertising.

i keep thinking about the fact that the diaz parents let christopher believe—encouraged him to believe—that eddie didn't want to be his dad anymore. that eddie had given him up to them. like, we talk a lot about their cruelty towards eddie. but their cruelty towards christopher is equally horrendous. if not more so. this is a kid who has lost his mother more than once. is deeply traumatised by that loss. has developed a plethora of abandonment issues because of that loss. and the diaz parents were just content to let him believe he was being abandoned by a parent again. that eddie didn't want to be his dad anymore. because it served them. they treated the move as something permanent. they passed themselves off as christopher's parents at every opportunity they got. they had bumper stickers. the girl at the chess tournament literally called ramon christopher's father. and it was more than just an assumption on her part. it was something she had been led to believe. "his father. ramon." the way they were so willing to take advantage of christopher's anger and trauma and eddie's fears and insecurities to gradually place themselves in the role of Parents without a single regard for what christopher wanted or needed or the damage this would cause him. so much so that christopher's response to eddie telling him he was coming home to him was "you'll be my dad again?" they let christopher believe that this was his life forever now. that eddie wasn't coming back. wasn't going to be his dad anymore. that he'd lost both parents. that they were all he had now. and there's something so cruel about that. their choices were not choices made out of love for christopher. no matter what they tell themselves. if they were making choices out of love for christopher, they would have given christopher the temporary space he needed while encouraging reconciliation and communication. instead, they encouraged the direct opposite. instead of keeping that door open, they inched it closed bit by bit until christopher believed eddie wasn't his dad anymore. that's not something you do to someone you love.

btw it is sexy and cool to uplift and admire people who have skills you wish you had without using their ability as a stick to beat yourself with. even and especially if you are jealous of them.
