“are you nervous?” bokuto asks you while his eyes remained on the road. he makes a right turn when the gps tells him to and turns his attention back to you. you rub your bulging stomach, trying to ease some of your anxiety, “just a little bit.”

if he weren’t driving right now, he too would have his hands on your stomach, but he wanted to be safe, for you and little bean.

“you don’t have to be nervous y/n-chan. you’ll do great!” bokuto exclaims, “everyone will love you. i’m sure of it.”

outside of his cousin’s house, you can already hear the amount of kids that ran around, “it’s just a family party. there won’t be a lot of people.”

he lied.

well kind of, for him, there weren’t a lot of people, but for you, you were overwhelmed by the amount of baby nieces and nephews he has, including all of his cousins, aunts, and uncles.

𝐎𝐇, 𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐘 !!

From his seat, Wakatoshi watches as his very pregnant wife waddles around the table — observing as she flits back and forth between the kitchen and the dining table. Despite his offers to help, she had shooed him away, demanding that he, “Sit! Sit!” so she could bring out dessert.

When she re-enters the dining room, proudly carrying a chocolate cake topped with strawberries, he smiles softly. 

“Good job, baby. It looks really good.”

She beams brightly at the praise, presenting him with the first slice. “Make sure you finish everything, okay, Toshi?”

He nods, eating away at the cake. While Wakatoshi would typically be hard-pressed to eat 600 calories of pure chocolate, he had a hard time refusing his wife — even more so as the days creeped closer and closer her due date. He polishes plate, finishing it off with a bite of the strawberry.

“You ate so well, baby!”

The volleyball player looks up at the comment. With a raise of his brow, he realizes there’s no plate before her. “Are you not having any?”

She gives a shake of her head. “I want something else for dessert.”
