Since I'm starting this account over, I thought I'd make a little post telling people a bit about myself.

My name's Cat, I'm 19 years old, biromantic aceflux and I'm from the Northeastern US. I joined Tumblr sometime in November 2020, but I haven't been very active since creating this account, that is, until now.

A little more about me is that I love writing, both fanfiction and writing original stories, and I'm studying creative writing in college, and am about to finish my first year. I'm on AO3 at the same name as here, and plan to post a lot starting soon for several fandoms!

I'm also introverted, but I like to think of myself as pretty approachable, though sometimes, I do wonder if I'm being awkward or not in conversations. But I'm always happy to make new friends, and when I start talking, it's kinda hard to get me to stop, lol.

Finally, when it comes to fiction and the media I like, there are so many ships and characters I love, but I'm an especially big Adrien Agreste, Sansa Stark, Nancy Wheeler and Cleo de Nile and stan, while ships wise, I absolutely adore Cleuce, the Love Square, Jancy, and Zutara.

internet censorship bill about to pass congress:

ao3 is facing a ddos attack from an overseas right-wing anonymous group because it contains "degeneracy and disgusting things like LGBT and NSFW".

they're not the only right-wing group that is attacking fanfiction sites because of queer & nsfw content. the Heritage foundation, the US right wing think tank that writes laws for republicans, wrote an article about how "big tech turns kids trans" in which they're advocating for the Kid's Online Safety Act to pass because it will give state attorney generals power to sue websites for "potentially harmful content towards minors". in this article they point out websites like wattpad, tumblr, tiktok, twitter as sites that GOP attorney generals can and will target for censorship if this bill passes. all places where fandom, that's mostly queer, hangs out.

if you think this bill has no chance of passing because of all the red flags it poses, think again. it currently has 38 cosponsors in the senate, and is being pushed by the democrats as a "protecting the children!!" type bill.

there are left-aligned orgs in congress rn lobbying for this bill to pass. july is extremely decisive, because if KOSA goes through to markup it'll be bundled with the Earn It act, Restrict, and all the other bad internet bills and passed as a package, completely censoring the internet forever.

Deuce took her smaller hands into his, feeling like the steady thump of his heartbeat had his whole upper body shaking. "I do love you, Cleo," he said. "But it's just… I don't know if keeping us a secret is a good idea."

"There are a million reasons this is a bad idea, I know," she absentmindedly rolled her eyes, though not at him. "But I only care about the one reason it's a good one."

"And that is?"

"Because we love each other, don't we?" she asked, gently smoothing her fingertips over his knuckles while he nodded in response. "And I think that's all that should really matter to us."

You know what really annoys me about stancy shippers?

They seem to totally ignore what Nancy wants in life.

Like yes, Steve is great. He’s amazing. He’s brave, good-looking, caring… and yes he really changed from what he was in s1 to what he is now.

Yes, he does deserve Nancy.

But, hear me out, NANCY IS NOT A PRICE!

Nancy is a person, she has her own feelings and desires and goals in life.

We know that Steve wants a big family, six little nuggets. And Nancy wants a career, which is hard enough for a woman even without maternity leave for six kids.

So, Steve deserves love, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be from Nancy.

(Also shoutout to all jopper, lumax, jancy and byler shippers because you people really have thought about what’s good for BOTH characters in the ship, not just for your favorite character.)

Deuce Gorgon Headcanons

  • absolutely bisexual and Cleo couldn't be more supportive
  • he has a few notebooks filled with recipes he's come up with/modified but doesn't feel like he can necessarily call them "cookbooks"
  • he wears out his shoes down to the soles and doesn't toss them until his feet are poking out
  • snake bite piercings, duh
  • black nail polish on always
  • he wears a sleep mask to bed just in case
  • he has sunglasses that also have blue light filters
  • he, like Cleo, has impressive strength
  • also he's like 5'7 and he got teased for being short growing up but once kids realized he can turn them into literal stone they stopped
  • party animal, but reserved
  • thriving in the summer, dying in the winter
  • he's a big mama's boy, she's his biggest fan and supports him through everything
  • he's hoping to get a casketball scholarship, or maybe even have this own restaurant in the future
  • prays to various gods with many small altars throughout his room
