wexhappyxfew’s writing master list

Hello everyone! Welcome to my writing masterlist that has been developing for the last ~6 years as a member of the Band of Brothers fandom and now the Masters of the Air fandom. I remember saying I’d stop after The Soldier of Stars, and then maybe I’d stop after Landslide, but now we are here with ATTDC, so truly, it appears I’ll be hanging around for a while haha! This masterlist features OCs such as Charlotte Tarvers, Hazel Parker, Natia Filipska, Esther Armstrong, Florence Godfrey, Annie Bradshaw and all those secondary characters you got hold of, too! Please enjoy and thank you for reading! <3

SILVER BULLETS - a one-shot collection of MOTA OCs

Silver Bullets had nearly gone down in a cloud of fire and smoke when a stray piece of flak flew into the left side of the cockpit and killed pilot Captain Birdie Faulkner, leaving co-pilot, Lieutenant Francis Montez, to scramble and land the fort to safety after dropping their bombs. Then and there, Silver Bullets, a fully-teamed group of women aviators, was without a command pilot. Lieutenant Annie Bradshaw got the call four days later, down to the hour, and was jumping onto a B-17 to make her way to Thorpe Abbotts to resume role of command pilot for the crew, utilizing her calm demeanor, determination, resilience and hardworking nature to get through to the crew of Silver Bullets and emerge as a leader to the group; a trustworthy one at that who wouldn't let them down. If you're looking a fic collection where a character haunts the narrative, feel free to check out the collection of writings just below!

OC Featured: Esther Armstrong, Mercy Codona + multiple others (later on in fic)
Pairing Featured: Esther Armstrong / Eventual Canon Character, Mercy Codona / Eventual Canon Character, other OCs / Eventual Canon Characters
War correspondent Esther Armstrong and combat photographer Mercy Codona are offered the position to document one of the newest military positions in war; the paratroopers. Specifically, Easy Company of the 506th, the Screaming Eagles. Esther and Mercy drop in on D-Day and meet eight women with stories of their own that they refuse to let go untold.

CHAPTER 17 - A WOUNDED DOG

September 6th, 1943 - 1830 Atlantic Ocean (Somewhere) Combat Photographer Mercy Codona

The boat ride across the Atlantic lasted from September the 3rd to September the 18th and was by far one of the more interesting parts of the last year. Not only was the war practically a stalemate at all fronts, but we'd been moved from camp to camp for training - you know, a change of scenery to brighten the spirits, a new mountain to run up and hope you don't die on! And so a boat ride was honest to God the best thing for the whole company - though it meant leaving home; it meant leaving America. Seeing Lady Liberty fade into nothing but sunset-bathed clouds was by far one of the strangest emotions I felt. A part of me wondered when I'd see it again - (there was that word again) home.
- Esther Armstrong, from her book, Stroke of Luck

-> if you would like to be added to the taglist, please just let me know! :D

the narrative weight of ronald speirs should never be understated. even though he doesn't have an episode focusing on him you can clearly see his impact on the story and the way he slowly but surely earns the respect of his men replacing the fear he originally inspired. and he's okay with being seen as the toughest, has-no-feelings guy around if it means it'll motivate the men. genuinely so important

but like what if all 4 egan kids hate baseball lol

bucky would 100% crash out, spend nights complaining to kennedy about it, losing sleep over what he could’ve possibly done wrong raising his kids (who somehow JUST SOMEHOW don’t like baseball). and to make matters worse, just so his kids can annoy him, they always picks whatever team is versing the yankees ESPECIALLY if they’re the red sox (bc they know how much mom REALLY loves them).

BUT - i have the sneakiest suspicion that their youngest, little clarkie, would actually start liking it because when he ends up the youngest (and his siblings are out being teenagers) he gets to spend one-on-one time with his dad and his parents more in general. and he actually really starts to love it and understand it. because c’mon he’s only 6 he doesn’t know what’s going on except the guys swinging the bats look REALLY COOL. so it’s certified that bucky and clarkie are huge yankees fans at the end of this, with kennedy being the lone red sox fan (but Flo, Maggie, and Robby all eventually support the red sox in the future - but yes, those three still hate baseball at least lmao).

(fun fact: clarkie 100% goes on to play baseball in middle school + high school and you should SEE the looks on bucky and kennedy’s faces at their son playing baseball 😭)
