2. what sort of music would they like? have you thought about what genres or bands do they lean towards? do they have a favorite song?
I haven't got much of an idea about what, if anything, Melinda listens to at this point, but Ennis is still fully emo in their 30s and has the taste in music to match: MCR, Fall Out Boy, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Secondhand Serenade, Nevershoutnever, Paramore, Mayday Parade, and some metalcore like Motionless on White, INK and Bring Me the Horizon too. I'm not sure if it's their favourite song, but of the parts of our music taste that overlap I'd say the song Ennis would like the most is probably Kick Me by Sleeping With Sirens.
5. how do they typically dress? does their wardrobe lean more towards practicality or aesthetics?
Possibly the only thing these two have in common is that they lean heavily into aesthetics for their wardrobes.
Ennis's taste in clothes is like a mix of emo and pastel goth. They like black and pastel purpe, have a lot of band shirts and big comfy hoodies, Converse and Docs for shoes, fishnets, arm warmers, silicone wristbands and kandi bracelets, and one wide-brimmed black "witch" hat. They glamour their hair pastel purple, and their school bag was originally a purple teddy bear that they gutted out, covered in "piercings" and stitches, and then added a pin window in its stomach like the sort from ita bags.

Melinda isn't a part of the subculture, but if someone looked at her they'd probably label her style as "goth girl". She only wears black with maybe the occasional bit of red. She likes fitted cothes, leather, spikes and sometimes lace. I don't think she owns a single pair of shoes that aren't heels or platforms, and nothing shorter than three inches. She likes headbands and halos, and crowns and cloaks for special occasionas. Usually has her midriff and/or a lot of leg on show.

15. how big or small is their family? who did they live with growing up? do they live with anyone now?
Ennis has a pretty average sized family on the whole. Their parents had the most kids out of all their siblings at 4, Ennis being the second oldest. They grew up with both Mom and Dad around, as well as the two younger siblings. Their elder sister is significantly older than them, so she was away at uni and then moved out by their mid teens. Their relationship with their parents is... difficult... but they get on well with their siblings.
They live in the student housing at Avalon Academy of the Arcane for the time being, and Brooks is their only housemate.
I can't get into the specifics of Mellie's family situation without giving away some pretty major spoilers, but here's what I can tell you:
She doesn't know most of her family, she has mom trauma, and she grew up in a very cut-throat environment. She's also spent a lot of time as a teenager and young adult around powerful faerie women who feed on human men, like Baobhan Sith and Leanan Sidhe. She is the way she is for a reason.
She has private accomadation at the school. She would not tolerate being randomly paired up with housemates.
