I have no idea what I'm doing

I need to actually know what the fuck am I to describe a me

lotta people are saying the price thing is an overreaction and yeah, for the console price alone, maybe.

but its the combination of that plus the overpriced games Plus having to pay an online subscription to play half of those games PLUS any potentially needed replacements (we all remember the joycon drift fiasco. its a wonder the court case went the way it did.)

on top of the fact that a solid 50% of the switch's general audience would not be able to afford it with these prices. while there is such a wide audience that uses it, a considerable majority is: children and young adults. folks who arent exactly going to have a nicely paying office job.

also the minimum wage where i live is still $7.25 and i have more important things to pay for, like food, and student loans.

so while it is probably an overreaction, can you exactly blame so many people for being pissed? they deserve a little screaming and whining time, alright?

also why are you jumping to the defense of a corporate entity. you look like a tool.

"ohhh!! economic inflation is at fault not nintendo!!! ohhhhh!!!" like i dont know this. do you think im fucking stupid.

interestingly however, corporations are part of why this economic inflation is happening !! how curious! that this violent cycle involves the very people who take advantage of it !!!

Could i please get a small mammal cursed bio fact if u have one

the grasshopper mouse of the southwestern United States looks like a standard house mouse but is almost entirely carnivorous and is known to kill and consume everything from less homicidal mice to goddamn rattlesnakes, which they kill by jumping onto the snake’s back and gnawing through its spine

behold…. a Bastard

How could U fail to mention that this fool marks territory by howling? Yunno. Like a wolf

Oh. Oh I am in love with this bastard wolf mouse.

that little guy is locked in an evolutionary arms race (my favourite thing) with bark scorpions (he loves to eat those guys) - he’s not only immune to their venom, but he’s evolved such that that venom acts as an analgesic; he barely even feels the sting because the scorpion’s own venom blocks the pain of it. this effect is strong enough that they don’t really notice even when the scorpion is stinging them repeatedly in the face.

When I'm out in the garage working, Vice gets to tag along and hunt dust bunnies in the garage attic. I pause every so often to call him down, just to make sure he hasn't gotten into trouble.

He always has a Lot to report.

some of you guys do not thump the baby to get the demons out, which is fine because sometimes cats don't have demons in em. but you have to understand that Vice is full of demons (Anxiety, Phobia of Furnace Repairmen, Fear of Babies, Hairball) and needs to be sqashed. He does not want light gentle touches. that is bad stimulation. He wants to be pulverized.

To be clear for those of you who haven't been here the whole time, Vice isn't a barn cat. Vice is an extremely anxious housecat that gets gently carried out to the garage so he can cosplay having a real job. He caught a mouse once and went into a panic about it.

Losing my mind at this poor girl in Argentina who found a kitten on the side of the road and adopted it only to find out it was a freaking jaguarundi. Look at that fucking thing. That's a whole ass kiddy cat

Better yet, she got in contact with a local wildlife reserve! She found him and his sister beside a dead animal on the side of the road, apparently quite thin, and assumed they were just abandoned kittens. The female passed shortly afterward but the male was fine- two months later she brought him to the vet and discovered "hey, thats a whole ass jungle cat." There's a good chance Tito will be back in the wild someday, even! IMHO, two kittens on the side of the road, and one didn't make it more than a couple days? they probably WERE abandoned. just dumb luck they got picked up!

LISTEN to those sweet cheeps. to me I hear that sound and immediately think wild cat, but I think its totally reasonable for a teenager to find a kitten this young and think it was a normal cat. Jaguarundi are also really small!

These are TINY little wildcats!

They have really distinct looking faces and especially ears, but

if a layman ran into one of these things where they werent expecting to see one, I think its pretty reasonable they might assume it was just a weird looking cat

We sharing anaesthetic stories?? I had to have dental surgery when i was in middle school.

According to my mom and sister the very first thing i did upon waking up was BOLT upright and proceed to try and shove my ENTIRE fist in my mouth as fast as possible.

I had to be physically stopped, and i proceeded to sob my eyes out for the next 20 minutes. Somehow, i didnt damage anything 🤣

i searched everywhere for this “vargskelethor joel vinesauce The Wheel tears of the kingdom totk” clip and couldnt find it and it just happened across my dashboard so im SEO'ing that shit for later

been listening to the knuckles raps from sa2 while pretending to not know the music is from a video game and i highly recommend the experience. really good from the perspective of a normal rapper who talks about ghosts trying to kill him and his ability to telepathically detect gemstones in the earth

i did this once while driving a classmate who knew nothing about sonic to college and she said in full seriousness ‘it’s so sad that he feels like he can’t depend on anyone but himself’

people really cannot stand when you come out the other side of "nuance" ultimately holding the same position but more principled. yes i know about that thing, i hold this position as someone who knows that and has factored it into my worldview. you just think the only acceptable response is to drop your beliefs entirely or spend an hour prefacing everything you say with a million exceptions

WAIT

I JUST REMEMBERED HEARING AN ELON MUSK QUOTE WHERE HE TALKS ABOUT HOW HE BELIEVES CHESS IS "TOO SIMPLE" OR WHATEVER AND HE SAID HIS FAVORITE GAME WAS A GAME CALLED "POLYTOPIA"

I JUST REMEMBERED THAT IVE PLAYED POLYTOPIA

It being Elon's favorite game (or at least one so important to him that his biographer dedicates a lot of time to it) is.....really really funny.

Basically, imagine Civilization, but as a mobile game. So like if Civilization Revolution was even more dumbed down (that's a Civilization insult. That's devastating. It's devastated right now). For what it's worth, it's not a bad game. On the contrary, from what I could tell in the little bit of time I played it, it's a perfectly competent game with good design. But it's not a deep game by any means. I played through it once, won easily on my first go, then saw that the other playable characters had barely any differences between them.

Like, not to imply you can judge a book by its cover, but here's what it looks like

I came across an article by Dave Karpf discussing this exact thing, and I think it describes it wonderfully
