I don't know if these are still a meme in fandom spaces but I remember loving them on pinterest so I made some for my WIP! These are just silly little exercises in character interactions but I had a lot of fun making them. Some of them might make more sense after I've introduced the side characters (or after you've read the book) but hopefully this gives you some insight into their personalities in a more informal way lol.

etta's piece on AI scraping was such a brilliant read. it shares an author's honest frustrations on this terrible issue (which I found quite refreshing to read) but also offers some solutions and reassurances to struggling and discouraged authors. we need more pieces like this that feel relatable and actually say, "yes, this problem sucks and there is no sugarcoating that," instead of trying to be polite about it, in my opinion.

etta is a brilliant author and a good friend of mine, and her newsletters offer some of the most insightful pieces on topics all over the indie sphere. i highly recommend checking out this article we wrote, as well as the one coming out on my substack next friday about how authors these days have to wear many many hats!
