Further MDZS theatre AU - Beetlejuice the musical with Wei Wuxian as Beetlejuice and Mo Xuanyu as Lydia. He was late to the auditions but gave it his all and Wei Wuxian convinced Lan Wangji (who was the composer/conductor and casting whatever of this musical with probably like Huaisang as the writer (comebedy isn't our son's strong suit)) to give Xuanyu a shot.
Obviously, in rehearsals and off-stage they're the most chaotic little shits ever ("I FOUND A LIVE SNAKE!!!" "OHHH, LET'S PUT IT IN NIE MINGJUE'S LOCKER!") but then they're also just such cuties. Wei Wuxian is like the best older brother/father ever, and he's letting this baby goth do his eyeliner and they're painting each other's nails. Xuanyu is making increasingly more elaborate plots to get wangxian trapped together. On the day of the first performance, Mo Xuanyu's like panicking until Wei Wuxian fucking face plants after finding Lan Wangji in his conductor outfit. After that, he's too busy laughing to panic (Wei Wuxian was going to fall on purpose but that was unnecessary when Lan Wangji stepped into the room and he went down anyway)
