It's so funny to think about how people genuinely don't believe byler is endgame when they literally spell it out for us like this. You do NOT tell someone you have platonic feelings for this kind of stuff.

Like he's genuinely saying "Max Lucas and Dustin are great but it's Hawkins, it's not the same without you" aka he genuinely doesn't feel at home when he's not with Will. He's saying his friends are great but they're not Will and therefore there's something missing. And here's the thing, he could've said "it's not the same without you and El" or "it's not the same without you guys" but he didn't. "It's not the same without YOU" THE ONLY REASON IT FEELS WRONG AND THE ONLY REASON IT DOESN'T FEEL THE SAME (or at least the biggest reason) IS BECAUSE WILL ISN'T WITH HIM.
