Nader told me that usually he would go visit his family for Eid, but this year is different.
Nader @abdalsalam2000 is only seventeen years old, and has been working hard every day to fundraise for his family which includes his father Ahmed who has cancer and urgently needs treatment, and his one year old niece Iman. After being displaced more than nine times, they were finally able to return to their home in Northern Gaza after the ceasefire came into effect in january, only to find their childhood home and everything they had destroyed.
I’ve been helping Nader with his campaign for several months, and I want to tell you that he is a very kind, hard working young man with many dreams and things he wants to do, that the occupation has taken from him. He’s only seventeen and should be in school, but he has to spend his time trying to ask for help online instead just for the survival of his family. This is difficult work, but of course he does it because he loves his family. Him and his family deserve food, safety, and happiness. Please show him that we care about them and that we are listening and see what is happening to them
Their previous campaign was very close to reaching their goal thanks to all of Nader’s hard work reaching out to people for help and advocating for his family and spreading information about the events in Gaza as it was happening, but gofundme stopped transfers from that campaign and they had to start over.

help out a trans woman in need
hi everyone, i'm a disabled, chronically ill and as of this week, unemployed trans woman from south america, and i live with a mother undergoing cancer treatment. things have taken a turn for the worse lately as i got laid off from my two jobs and my house's electrical wiring started shorting every day on top of struggling to help my mom with her treatment.
i know i'm asking a lot and it always fills me with shame but i need to ask for help yet again to cover the repair bills and expenses related to my mom's treatment. if there's anything you can spare, even a reblog, i would be immensely grateful to you all

The worst feeling is when you are unable to protect, support, and provide for your bereaved family 🥺 from the consequences of this cruel war. I feel broken 💔 I want to cry badly because I am unable to provide the basic necessities of life, such as food, drink, and medicine for my family 😭😭. My children are hungry. Given the many Indigenous groups in Latin America, how do Marxist theorists there (or Mexico where you specialize) address racialization?
If you read Spanish, the sociological work of Pablo González Casanova is mostly about the operation of class exploitation and the limitation of democracy in Mexico especially and he touches on the racialization of Indigenous peoples as part of that. Silvio Zavala also wrote a great book about the emergence of this racial ideology during the Conquest era called La Filosofía Política de la Conquista. There’s also a book that’s been translated to English that gives a broad overview, Indigenous Peoples In Latin America by Héctor Díaz Polanco. To theoretically flesh out the analysis of racialization for the Mexican context (and as it relates to Latin America generally), I would also recommend Modernity and Whiteness by Bolívar Echeverría, Finding Afro-Mexico by Theodore Cohen, and Chino by Jason Oliver Chang

Today, my family was displaced under heavy bombardment after a three-day siege in a tent. They left behind everything: clothes, food, and medicine. Please look at us with compassion. Do something. Participate. Protest. Donate.
Aboud Al-Qudra was a business owner in Gaza. He had built a life, a home, a future. Then the war came.
- His business—destroyed.
- His home—reduced to rubble.
- His family—displaced, mourning the loss of loved ones.
Now Aboud and his family are struggling to survive in a tiny, overcrowded tent, facing:
- No clean drinking water
- Severe food shortages
- Lack of medicine and medical care
- Scorching heat in summer, no protection from the cold in winter
After surviving a three-day siege in a tent, they were forced to flee under heavy bombardment, leaving behind their clothes, food, and medicine. Now, they have nothing.

Thousands of people across Jammu and Kashmir took to the streets on Friday to observe Al-Quds Day in solidarity with Palestine. However, the J&K Police have registered cases under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against the organisers and participants at certain locations, citing pro-Hezbollah slogans and flag-waving. Pro-Palestinian protests were held in several parts of Kashmir and Ladakh, with protesters carrying banners that read “Free Palestine” and calling for an end to Israeli occupation. The demonstrations, attended by men, women, and children, were part of the annual Al-Quds Day commemorations, observed on the last Friday of Ramadan. In Kargil, Ladakh, large groups of protesters marched through busy marketplaces in a show of solidarity with the Palestinian cause. Similar protests took place in Budgam and Baramulla districts of Kashmir, where demonstrators raised slogans against Israel and the United States while waving Hezbollah flags and carrying banners featuring Lebanese cleric and Hezbollah commander Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. The police have booked unknown protesters under the UAPA following a demonstration in Baramulla’s Pattan area. An official confirmed that a case (FIR No. 49/2025) was filed at the Pattan police station but did not specify the exact sections of the anti-terror law invoked. The Wire reported. “In Chainabal, Baramulla district, some protesters were seen waving Hezbollah flags and shouting slogans that could incite public unrest. These actions encourage elements associated with terrorism to engage in subversive activities and attempt to revive terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir,” a police statement stated. Additionally, in Beerwah, Budgam district, the police registered another case under Sections 126(2) (wrongful restraint) and 189(6) (unlawful assembly) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). According to a police spokesperson, “The organisers attempted to create a law and order situation and blocked the Sonpah-Beerwah road, thereby obstructing the smooth movement of the general public.” The case (FIR No. 33/2025) has been lodged at the Beerwah police station. Despite the police crackdown, pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel protests were reported in various areas of Kashmir, including Bemina in Srinagar, as well as parts of Budgam and Baramulla districts. The demonstrations were marked by slogans such as “Murdabad, Murdabad, Israel Murdabad” (Down with Israel) and “Ae zalimo, ae qafiro, Bait-ul-Muqaddas chhod do” (Oh tyrants, oh infidels, leave Jerusalem).
