maybe im a stupid asshole but one of my biggest tumblr pet peeves is when i see a popular post that DEFINITELY got posted to r/curatedtumblr or put in a funniest tumblr posts video or whatever and the post is the 3 or 4 original reblogs that make up the og post and then like 25 reblogs in a row of different people all saying some variation of "I CANT BELIEVE I FINALLY FOUND IT" or mentioning hellsite-hall-of-fame or something

how is it that this is the "protect trans women" website and we're all up in arms about the random trans women being banned, UNTIL it's a black trans woman, and then suddenly Staff is blameless and it was a completely random and untargeted ban that could have happened to anybody?

why is it that mass-reports only ever seem to work on marginalized people and not nazi blogs?

i've been on this website a long fuckin time, upwards of 10 years, and it has only gotten more difficult for black (and especially black queer) people to exist here in that time. if you've been here a long time too, you've seen it as well. anyone who argues to the contrary is either not paying attention because they don't care and/or they haven't been taught to care, OR they're just willfully ignorant to the suffering of melanated people because they do not benefit from caring.

i pray those of you who haven't learned to care yet either fix your hearts soon, or die.
