Thanks Bobv! I am sorry it took so long to set up a proper user page. I've been editing and making new pages for a few months now and appreciate feedback! Molliemch (talk) 20:42, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of businesses

[edit]

Hello. I have noticed that you are a self disclosed paid editor. I have reviewed a bunch of the items you have created and many of the businesses are not notable. I suggest you read Wikidata:Notability. Businesses without articles on Wikimedia projects will generally qualify under criterion 2. Specifically criterion 2 requires "serious and publicly available references". Having a website, social media profiles, or listing on business directories (like Cruchbase) is usually not sufficient as serious sources.

Over time creating large numbers of non-notable items may result in your account losing editing privileges. If you have questions about notability and Wikidata policies, you can start those discussions at Wikidata:Project chat‎. --William Graham (talk) 20:01, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
Yes, I am a paid editor for tomtom, as part of a large Point of Interest product we add to our maps. I have added new pages when a brand is missing a Q page.
In the beginning I was told to add crunchbase and facebook, in particular.
I will review the 'notability' section, per your request.
Kind regards,
