Discussion
- Support but this time it is between two lexemes or forms (but no sense), isn't it? And should we be more precise with two properties: homograph (same spelling, this can be handle by a bot) and homophone (same pronunciation, by a bot also if the pronunciation is indicate on both item)? Tubezlob (🙋) 19:23, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose no need to store this information, it should be very easily queryable (same for - at least - homograph, homophone, heterograph, heteronym and heterophone). @JackPotte, Tubezlob: Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 10:46, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, but as there can be false-positives into the query results (eg: current lemma inflexions), the human validated option doesn't seem absurd to me. JackPotte (talk) 12:43, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- Same remark as Wikidata:Property proposal/paronym (no need to duplicate the discussion). Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 13:45, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose this can better be queried automatically (same language + same lemma or same pronunciation). Until problems of automatic queries have been shown with existing examples of lemmas in Wikidata (once queries work), this property should not be created. -- JakobVoss (talk)
- Comment For lexemes, there is Wikidata:Property proposal/homograph lexeme. I suppose the above suggestion needs to fix the domain and the naming (homonym/homograph: what is meant?). — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 14:38, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support we can remove it again if we notice that a query is just as efficient. --- Jura 11:14, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose "Homonyms" is too broad and tends to cover both homographs (which is given as example here) and homophones such as the classic quintet sain, saint, sein, seing, ceint. TO ensure lack of confusions, these should be two separate properties. In fact, there is already a property proposal above for homographs! Circeus (talk) 15:34, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- It would be interesting to see some working queries that pretend to replace this? We already have statements with IPA accessible on query server, but I'm not aware of any sample queries. --- Jura 15:44, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose there is homograph lexeme (P5402). We need "homophone" property for forms (or lexemes) instead. --Infovarius (talk) 21:42, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- @JackPotte, Tubezlob, VIGNERON, JakobVoss: @Fnielsen, Jura1, Circeus, Infovarius: Not done I have marked this as not done given the above comments. Feel free to create a new proposal for 'homophone', which appears to be still missing. ArthurPSmith (talk) 19:05, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
