The District Court of Southwest Finland has charged two suspects with filming underage girls in the shower rooms of a school, according to a report (in Finnish) by regional newspaper Turun Sanomat.
One of the two defendants in the case is a former mayoral candidate for the Left Alliance party in the city of Turku.
The two defendants are suspected of spreading sexually indecent imagery of a child and sexual exploitation of a child.
The court confirmed to Yle that the case is now with the prosecutor.
Police have previously said that there are 17 plaintiffs involved in the case.
Regional prosecutor Merja Hoppari told Turun Sanomat that although the suspected crime in the case is the dissemination of sexual images of a child, the images may not have been shared anywhere.
