Saturday temperatures were among the warmest seen the country has ever seen in late autumn.
Some 25 weather stations saw temperatures higher than they had ever recorded before on Saturday, with exceptionally warm weather dominating Finland.
The highest temperature recorded on Saturday was in Åland, where the Jomalby weather station in Jomala recorded a high of 15.1 degrees, but that was not a record for that recording station.
Jomala holds the all-time record for highest November temperature ever recorded in Finland, when on 6 November, 2020 the mercury climbed to 16.6 degrees.
Saturday's station-specific temperature records for November in Uusimaa were: 14.4 degrees in the village of Tvärminne in Hanko, and 14.3 degrees in Tapiola, Espoo, 14.1 degrees at Helsinki Malmi Airport, 14.3 degrees in Kaisaniemi in Helsinki, 13.7 degrees in Vantaa at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, 13.7 degrees at Maasoja in Vihti, and 13.3 degrees in Lohja.
According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI), Saturday's temperatures were similar to those that typically occur in late September.
The FMI noted that 25 station-specific November temperature records were set at weather observation stations on Saturday. A large proportion of the stations have a measurement history dating back to at least the 1960s.
After a weekend with high winds and high temperatures, on Monday temperatures started to drop closer to seasonal averages.
