Over 10 Million Donated to Disaster Relief, More Needed

People in Finland have already donated more than 10 million euros to the disaster relief effort in southern and south-eastern Asia. Information on how to contribute to various charitable organisations follows.

The largest sums have been collected by the Finnish Red Cross (8.6 mn euros) and FinnChurchAid (FCA) - the relief organisation of the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Church (1.1 mn euros).

The Red Cross says that Finnish corporations have been very generous.

Contributions can be made either by phone or donated directly to the following charities' bank accounts.
