Mari Kiviniemi of the Centre Party and Anni Sinnemäki of the Green Party both made appearances in the market square of Hakaniemen Tori at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Sinnemäki had previously appeared at the Pet Exhibition at the Messukeskus Exhibition Centre.
Jyrki Katainen, leader of the National Coalition Party made appearances at the Stockmann department store in Espoo before visiting two shopping centres in the region.
Social Democratic Party leader Jutta Urpilainen chose to concentrate her campaigning in her home territory of Kokkola and Pietarsaari, while MEP Timo Soini of the True Finns made visits to the towns of Lohja, Tuusula and Järvenpää.
