The total sum of the 2013 budget is 54 billion euros.

Finnish members of Parliament already reached agreement on about half of the provisions of the 2013 budget Wednesday and made further strides settling proposals for expenditure Thursday.

Lawmakers were treated to a Christmas breakfast by Parliamentary Speaker Eero Heinäluoma, as well as a selection of seasonal songs by the Sibelius high school choir.

The 2013 session of Parliament will commence with a full sitting on February 4, when a speaker and deputy speakers will be elected.
