Turing Robotic Industries customer support used a Facebook posting to announce that it will be contacting all those who have ordered phones over the next week to confirm shipping addresses and other details.
The US-headquartered company announced in February it was to begin production in former Nokia facilities in the city of Salo.
Turing handsets are advertised as being constructed of a super-strong “liquid metal” alloy, to have been designed for ultra-secure communications and are described as "cypherphones". They operate on the Sailfish OS, developed by the Finnish Jolla company.
Earlier this month, Turing Robotic Industries CEO Steve Chao told Yle that the Salo plant will produce 60,000 handsets this year.
