"It's definitely not the same festive mode that it was in the past. For us living in Finland, it's very convenient to have it at the same time with the rest of the Europe," Nadiya Maksymyuk of the Ukrainians in Finland Association told the All Points North podcast.
Ask a Finnish person where Santa Claus comes from, and they will say Korvatunturi, which is a fell in Lapland. APN dives into Finnish yuletide myths and traditions, including the bearded guy's Finnish evolution.
