Cold disrupts Helsinki bus and tram traffic, some trains canceled or delayed

Delays and cancellations in public transport services in the capital region are expected to continue until at least mid-day.

Helsinki Region Transport HSL announced numerous changes to scheduled services on Thursday morning.

HSL says on its website that due to weather conditions delays and cancellations may apply to tram lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 until about noon.

A number of buses have also been canceled.

In addition, the state railways VR has announced disruptions to rail services caused by the cold, including delays and cancellations of some long-distance trains. A full listing is available from the VR website.
