The Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS) has published diagnosis and treatment pathways for 17 different types of cancer. The information is available in English, Finnish and Swedish on the HUS website.
The cancer treatment pathways provide information about the most common cancers and malignant blood diseases, their diagnostic tests and the different stages of treatment within the capital's hospital district.
"The goal is to provide reliable information to patients and their loved ones about different cancers and their treatment methods in HUS," said senior haematology physician Aino Lepäntalo in a press statement released on Wednesday.
The information was compiled by experts at HUS's Cancer Centre.
