As part of a restructuring plan, fuel firm Neste is reducing staff by 320 people in Finland and by 70 staff members abroad, the company announced in a press release on Wednesday morning.

The job cuts are part of plans the firm announced at the beginning of last November, involving the merger of three renewable business units into a single unit.

When the firm announced the restructuring plan, it estimated that between 300 to 350 employees in Finland could lose their jobs.

The company's goal is to cut spending around 50 million euros per year.
