"Posti changes its name to Posti," declares Helsingin Sanomat's headline in a story detailing the postal service's latest rebranding effort.
Finland's state-owned postal company is introducing its unified Posti brand in Finland, Sweden and the Baltic countries, reports HS.
As a result, Posti is renaming its international subsidiaries and its Finnish logistics company, Transval, to Posti. At the same time, it's phasing out the Itella brand — which is still used in Baltic countries. Finland's postal service, Suomen Posti, changed its name to Itella in 2007, rebranding in 2015 as Posti Group.
Now, ten years later, its various subsidiaries will also be called Posti.

Plastic fertiliser
It turns out that grocery stores don't remove plastic packaging when sorting their expired food into organic waste, resulting in plastic contamination in fertiliser.
Foods wrapped in plastic get crushed with other biomass. While plastic fragments eventually get separated from the mixture, not all of the plastic gets filtered out. Indeed, some of it actually makes its way into fertiliser marketed as environmentally friendly.
"The organic waste from stores arrives at the facilities packaged," Juhani Viljakainen, a recycling expert at Gasum, Maaseudun Tulevaisuus reports.
Retailers told the agricultural paper that they would change their practices regarding packaging removal if they received new guidelines from above.
Plugging a trend
Demand for earlobe repairs is up. According to Iltalehti, people increasingly want to undo the noughties fashion trend of stretching out earlobes to wear large earrings.
The cosmetic procedure is becoming sought-after at private clinics as public healthcare won't foot the costs. People with 'flesh tunnels' often start reconsidering their look when starting a family, according to the paper.
To correct the self-inflicted issue, surgeons remove the drooping skin and reconstruct the earlobe. The cost ranges from a few hundred to a couple of thousand euros.
