The result of a Covid-19 test on Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin (SDP) was negative, the PM announced on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.

The previous day, the PM said that she would be taking a coronavirus test and reverting to telecommuting after developing mild respiratory symptoms.

In a tweet posted at 12:30 pm on Wednesday confirming that she was Covid-free, Marin said she would continue working remotely as she was still experiencing respiratory symptoms.

"The result of the corona test was negative. However, as my respiratory symptoms continue, I will continue to work remotely for the time being. It is important not to go to work if one has symptoms and expose others that way. I feel good and the symptoms are mild," Marin tweeted on Wednesday.

Marin continued to work on Tuesday, participating remotely in the government's border restriction negotiations and the Social Democratic Party's summer meeting.
