Members of a group that visited Helsinki's amusement park Linnanmäki in the afternoon and early evening of 11 August have been diagnosed with coronavirus infections, according to the city.
Their infections did not occur at the park itself, but there is the possibility that they may have exposed others who visited the park that day, the city said.
The group was at the park from about 1-6 pm that Tuesday, and the city encouraged individuals who were at the park at the same time to carefully monitor their health status.
The city said that people who were known to have been in close contact with the group and at risk of having been exposed to the virus have already been contacted and instructed to quarantine.
Last week's incident was the second time a potential coronavirus mass exposure took place at the park. Similarly in that case, a group which turned out to have at least one infected member visited the park on Sunday 26 July, but the city said that no new cases had arisen following that incident.
Like other amusement parks around the country this year, Linnanmäki opened later than usual, due to coronavirus-related restrictions. At the time, theme parks said they planned to implement precautionary measures like limiting the number of admissions and maintaining a safe distance in queues for rides.
