Finland's November high temperature record was broken in Pori on Monday night, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, FMI.
The temperature at the west coast city's airport was 14.7 degrees Celsius on Monday night, but it was also unusually warm during the day in downtown Pori, where the temperature hit 14.4 degrees in the afternoon.
The country's previous record high for November was registered in 2015 when the mercury read 14.3 degrees on the island municipality of Kimitoön (Kemiönsaari) in Southwest Finland.
The weather over the next few days is expected to continue to be mild in Finland. On Wednesday temperatures are forecasted to range from six to nine degrees Celsius across southern areas.
However, it will be considerably cooler in Lapland, with temperatures ranging from -2 to +3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
FMI's forecast also noted there will be rain or scattered showers along the southwest and southeast coasts. It will be partly to mostly cloudy elsewhere on Wednesday, with a chance of fog in parts of Lapland.
