Tuesday marks the second of three deadlines for corrections, with the next and last deadline falling on 24 May 2022. Taxpayers can check their return date online via the MyTax or OmaVero online portal.
The tax office also reminded users that pre-filled tax returns only need to be altered if there are any additions or changes.
The authority further noted that people who have worked remotely during the pandemic should check for work-related tax deductions, such as monthly transit pass costs or home office costs.
If full-time remote working days exceeded six months last year, taxpayers are entitled to a 900-euro home office tax break. However, if the amount worked remotely was less than 50 percent, or workers used a home office to produce occasional secondary income, the deduction is smaller.
The tax office recommends using the MyTax portal to file corrections.
