Fun at the Lake

We've been spending a lot of time at one of our favorite places, Big Spray Lake. Nothing feels like summer quite like boating on a hot day. Our family has been trying new things and becoming more daring. Brittany learned how to slalom ski this season. Anna rides on the wakeboard with Daddy, and rode the kneeboard on her stomach for the first time (all by herself).

Oliver pretty much keeps the blanket from flying away, and he makes sure there is no pink left on the watermelon rinds he can get his hands on. Oh I could just eat him up.

Anna absolutely loves wakeboarding with Daddy. She always mixes up her board sports, however. She calls wakeboarding and snowboarding "skateboarding."

Brad's still got the moves. He loves to tear it up on his wakeboard wowing us all with his flips and tricks. I often wonder how old will he be when he does his last flip? How do you know when you are too old for that stuff...but for now we'll just keep enjoying the show.

Here is Anna riding the kneeboard for the first time. She saw her 4 year old friend do it, and we asked her if she wanted to try...And by we I mean Brad. I still see her as a tiny little girl and don't think of putting her out on the water by herself. However Brad is very carefully grooming her to be a fearless extreme sports girl. She was really enthusiastic about it and after a short tutorial on the dock, she was behind the boat all by herself. We are so proud of her. That's our daredevil 2 year old!
A shot for the sponsors.

Fun Pictures of the Kids

Easter Clothes.
We were long overdue for a blog post. The kids have brought us so much joy. It is amazing to see their little personalities develop and very gratifying to see them learn new things.
Anna said one night, "Mommy, I want to put my arm around you" when Brittany was reading stories to her.
Oliver is sitting up by himself now.
We love his beautiful smiling face.

Our little cowgirl. She likes to say "Giddy-up, Giddy-up!"
No-so-little 'little brother.' Anna woke up one morning and said, "I want to hold Oliver."

Winter Carnival 2011

We had a blast at the 2011 Winter Carnival at White Pass! For days Anna has been asking if it was time to go to the snow castle. Finally on Saturday morning, we loaded up the kids and headed for the hills. White Pass has had a lot of new snow the past week, so it was a beautiful winter wonderland. Anna got to ride up the chair lift and take a few runs with her daddy on his snowboard. We also met up with her uncles and grandma for a run. She loved the snow castle and had fun playing outside in the snow.

1st Post of the Year

The dust has finally settled and it's high time we posted some pictures. Life is going really well, and we are very happy. We enjoy seeing our children develop and get a kick out of their little personalities. They are growing so quickly.

Can you find me? I'm the cutest one! Anna playing with her stuffed animals.
The heat went out, so we had a party in Mom and Dad's room where the heater was.
Anna helping Daddy make Noqui (Gnocchi). I think it is the first time she has experimented with flour, so she had to rub her face in it, then rub her face on Daddy's sleeve.
Say, "Gnocchi!"
Oliver started jumping in our arms one day. That is when we decided to get out the jumper to see how he likes it. His little legs don't quite hit the floor, so we put books under him so he can bounce to his heart's content.
The following shots were taken today. Anna has been sick, but she wanted in on the photo shoot too.

Our little "Oller" as Anna affectionately calls him. (a.k.a. "Oller-Boy", "Li'l Fella", "Li'l Guy")
I took pictures of Anna when she was Oliver's age very similar to this.
I pulled them up and was amazed at how alike they look. There's no mistaking that these two belong to the same family.

Sunday Best

We decided to take a few pictures of the kids while they were still in their Sunday clothes after church. Oliver looked quite dapper in his tie and suspenders.

Newborn Pictures 1 week old

Brittany and I decided we wanted to capture Oliver in his first week of life. They grow up so quickly, so we wanted to make sure we could remember what he looked like and how precious he is as a newborn. Amazingly, he slept through the entire photoshoot. We hope you enjoy the pictures.

P.S. I don't think we officially announced his name on the blog yet, so here it goes:
