Yosemite

We packed up and went to Yosemite with Papa Pete and that side of the family. We stayed at the "four seasons" which were perfect rooms with kitchenettes and an awesome outside area to play. Being outside without having to camp? Yes please!

Our first stop was Tunnel View overlooking half dome, quite a beautiful site.

Here's everyone! My Dad, Michele, Uncle Trint, Jami, Kaitlin, Aunt Sam, John, Aunt Jessie, Me and the kids. Unfortunately, Matt couldn't come with us on the trip because he is spending all of his time to study for the DAT. I really missed having him there, but I'm really proud that he made the choice to stay home and study.

Traveling with kids without your spouse is HARD WORK!

"John, I wanna hold jer hand."

We then took a short (ha!) hour and a half drive to The Tutuolumne Meadows. My Dad was telling stories how he used to hike 8 miles up the mountains there and camp up there. It was nice to here him reflect back and hear is memories.

All Hudson kept asking for was to climb to the top of a mountain. At the beginning of the Tutuolume meadow was a trail with a large rock at the base and to a 4 year old, that was a mountain.

Once Ramsey figured out how the climb up the rock on his hands and feet, there was no stopping him! He kept running back up to the top, keeping Jami quite busy. (Thanks Jami!)

Hud and Kaitlin crab walking down.

Overall the kids had fun, but it was a lot more driving than I had anticipated.  There were a lot of tears in the car and everyone was worn out. But it was great to spend time with the family and enjoy the beauty all around us.

Bodega Bay

We had a lot of fun going to Bodega Bay with my mom and Michael. For my mom's birthday they had planned on going to the coast and playing at the beach the weekend before her birthday. Well jeep troubles had delayed those plans, so they postponed the trip to the following weekend, and decided to invite us to come along!

We drove out friday afternoon, checked into our hotel, "The Inn at The Tides" and had dinner at "The Tides." The restaurant was part of the filming of the 1960's Hitchcock movie, "The Birds." I remember watching the movie a few years back and being quite annoyed of the fog horn that was constantly going off during the movie. Well, that wasn't just for the movie, in Bodega Bay there is a beep of the fog horn about every 10 seconds. I was able to accumulate to it and tune it out, but Matt and my mom were having a hard time with it. Matt even resorted to wearing earplugs to bed that night in an attempt to muffle the noise, according to him, it didn't work.

The next morning we headed off to Dorans beach. Normally when you think of a Northern California beach, you think cold and windy. But not today! The weather was sunny and a beautiful 90 degrees. Perfect for getting in the water and searching for seashells, and for the boys to roll around in the sand and build sandcastles.
It was a great trip and I'm glad that my mom and Michael were kind enough to invite us along to enjoy the weekend with them. The boys ask about the beach practically everyday and I'm sure we will be back to play in the waves again soon.

Ramsey's 2nd Birthday

I'm 2!

He loves to share

....again Ramsey sharing, he truly is the sweetest boy.

For Ramsey's 2 nd birthday we went to John's Incredible Pizza. It was so easy and stress free, and the kids had so much fun! The boys loved playing all of the games, and Ramsey especially loved all the buttons that he was so freely able to press.
