I hope that no matter what happens in my life, I never stop loving video games. I can feel myself getting older as time goes by, but the one thing I hope to never become is a joyless old heap that doesn’t hold a love for video games.
Like, what a spectacular art form. Where, in many cases, the player themself participates in large part. Interactive art is so cool conceptually, and we have mass produced it. The stories that you can tell with gaming are so great because they aren’t limited to what the creators put into it. The best stories involve the player and how they interact with the game. That’s why watching people play your favorite games for the first time is so beautiful. And the way that people who make games have found ways to elicit such emotions from players just by teaching them the best way to play. I fucking love video games holy shit.
