El motor de su carro no est sonando bien?


Hay algo raro en la manera en que su carro se est comportando?
Ha perdido fuerza? Gasta ms combustible?
Est encendida la luz CHECK ENGINE en su tablero? Y las luces ABS, SRS, ESP, etc.?
Problemas en la direccin? En la transmisin? En el motor? Fallas en la emisin de gases?
Fallas electrnicas en sistemas de la carrocera? Problemas intermitentes?
Pensando en comprar un vehculo y preocupado por las fallas ocultas que pueda tener?
Frustrado porque no hay quien pueda diagnosticar su carro con precisin?
Desde hace aos los carros vienen incorporando mucha tecnologa para su funcionamiento. Son fabricados con complejos sistemas
interconectados. La computadora abordo (OBD) monitorea continuamente el rendimiento de los sistemas de un vehculo. Cuando un sensor
enva seales fuera de rango, se trata de una falla que puede llegar a encender una luz en el tablero y grabar un cdigo de falla en la
memoria. Estos cdigos deben ser recuperados e interpretados por un escaner profesional de diagnstico. Si decide ignorar las luces de
advertencia del tablero porque el carro aparentemente est funcionando bien, hay riesgo severo de dao del motor u otros componentes. Si se
enciende la luz CHECK ENGINE, el carro est emitiendo gases contaminantes muy por encima de lo permitido debido a problemas en el
sistema del motor.

Escanear un vehculo en motor apagado permite:


Recuperar y eliminar los cdigos de falla genricos y especficos confirmados durante su recorrido.
Obtener los valores de los sensores del instante de la falla.
Obtener los resultados de las pruebas de los sensores de oxgeno.
Verificar y reiniciar el estado de los monitores de sistemas relacionados con la emisin de gases.
Escanear un vehculo en motor apagado no revela las fallas o incoherencias que sus sistemas podran tener durante la marcha. El diagnstico
en motor funcionando, permite:
Obtener y registrar las lecturas en vivo de los sensores del vehculo durante la marcha y en el momento de una falla.
Comparar las lecturas simultneas de distintos sensores para identificar las fallas e incoherencias entre s.
Determinar el consumo y la economa del combustible.
Determinar los caballos de fuerza (potencia) y el torque del vehculo (momento).

Diagnstico OBD2 Estndar y Sistemas Especficos (motor apagado)


Recuperacin y eliminacin de cdigos de falla actuales, pendientes y permanentes.
Estado de los monitores continuos y no continuos.

Recuperacin de los valores de los sensores del momento de la falla (instantnea de falla).
Resultados de las pruebas de los monitores de los sensores de oxgeno.
Resultados de las pruebas de los monitores propios del vehculo.
Sistema de conduccin: electrnica del motor, mdulo selector electrnico, transmisin, etc.

Puertas, asientos y ventanas: mdulos del conductor y pasajero, etc.
Aire acondicionado.
Pruebas de actuacin, medicin de voltaje y de amplitud.

Diagnstico en Vivo (motor funcionando)


Todo lo anterior ms:
Recuperacin de los valores de los sensores activos.
Grficas de valores de los sensores activos (hasta 4 sensores simultneamente).
Lectura y registro en vivo (data-logging) de: la carga de trabajo soportada por el motor, la temperatura del lquido refrigerante, la
compensacin en la inyeccin de combustible, la presin de entrada de aire, RPM del motor, la velocidad del vehculo, el tiempo de
encendido acelerado para el cilindro #1, la temperatura del aire de entrada, el flujo de aire entrante, la posicin de la mariposa del
acelerador, el voltaje de los sensores de oxgeno, etc.
Pruebas de dinammetro: aceleracin, torque y RPM vs. velocidad.
Pruebas de aceleracin: tiempo vs. velocidad
Pruebas de cuarto de milla.
Consumo y rendimiento de combustible.
Reporte impreso y digital.

Caso de Estudio
El automvil Mercedes de un propietario del interior del pas se paraba cada vez que el carro picaba o haca fuerza. En talleres de prestigio
escanearon el carro en motor apagado pero no encontraron ningn cdigo de falla. Dijeron que se trataba de un problema de alineado y
balanceado de llantas, etc. Y ya no recibieron al carro "por falta de tiempo". Entonces, el propietario opt por las pruebas en vivo para dar con
el problema del carro. Mientras l conduca por una exigente avenida de La Paz, un ingeniero iba de copiloto con un escner profesional
conectado al enchufe OBD2 del mercedes. Luego de monitorear en vivo otros sensores, se encontr que, el flujometro enviaba lecturas
incoherentes cuando el carro se detena por s solo. Se desconect el flujometro y la computadora del mercedes entr en modo seguro.
Aunque el carro sin flujometro consuma ms gasolina, ya no se detena. Finalmente, se remplaz dicho repuesto y el mercedes ahora est
funcionando bien.
