GENERAL TIPS
Un review es una reseña de un producto o servicio. Pueden pedirte que escribas sobre
muchas cosas, yo te he preparado expresiones para los que más se repiten: peli o serie,
libro, hotel, restaurante, web, curso, evento.

¿Qué te gusta encontrar a ti en un review antes de ver una serie o comer en un

restaurante? Da detalles y ejemplos de tu experiencia. Tu misión es informar al lector si
merece o no la pena consumir el producto o vivir la experiencia.

Ponle un buen título que llame la atención. Una idea podría ser combinar un adjetivo
intenso (tienes una lista más adelante) + título/experiencia. Por ejemplo:
"The astonishing Amèlie", "An unforgettable experience in Madrid"...

Si escribes sobre una peli, libro, serie ... no te excedas hablando del argumento (plot).
Escribe en pocas líneas de qué va la trama para situar al lector sin spoilers y luego
describe el resto de elementos (characters, script, soundtrack ...).

Utiliza adjetivos variados para describir, huye de good / bad.

Puedes combinar las expresiones de la guía pero siempre dando razones y ejemplos
concretos de aquello que estás describiendo.

Antes del examen piensa en un libro, una serie y una peli que hayas disfrutado y lee un
poco sobre ello en inglés (quién lo creó, en qué año fue publicado, vocabulario
relacionado con ello...). Es un tema muy común en writing o speaking.

Describe muy bien el producto o servicio dando ejemplos y mencionando sus

características principales. Por ejemplo:

2 Hotel staff, cleaningness, rooms, facilities (indoor pool, gym, children's area...)
Restaurant menu, decoration, service, atmosphere

Este párrafo es opcional, pero para hacer tu review más equilibrado te

recomiendo que expliques al menos un aspecto que no te convenció del producto

PARAGRAPH Cierra tu review dirigiéndote al lector. Recomiéndale o no el

A BREATHTAKING ADVENTURE

The Wilds is hands down the best adventure series I have watched in recent years. It was

released in 2020 and created by Sarah Streicher.

The plot revolves around a group of teenage girls who are stranded on a desert island after

their plane crashes. The flashback storytelling and the way the young women bond and try

to survive in this mysterious setting had me on the edge of my seat.

It was a nice surprise to find that the lead actresses were so young and talented but Sarah

Griffiths, who plays the antagonist role, stands out and gives an impressive performance.

Moreover, the soundtrack is absolutely perfect, combining different music genres to match

the scenes and make the chapters even more absorbing.

However, I was rather disappointed to see that the ending is confusing and it takes an

unexpected turn in the last few minutes that leaves you craving for answers... so let's

hope there is a new season soon!

I'd recommend this show to anyone who likes adventure and action-packed scenes. I'm sure

it will have you glued to the TV!

A MEXICAN EXPERIENCE IN THE HEART OF VALENCIA

Tecolotes is a Mexican restaurant located in a lively neighbourhood, within walking distance of

the city centre. I enjoyed a delicious meal with friends there while on vacation in Valencia.

The menu offered a wide range of Mexican dishes, including the traditional tacos but introducing

innovative options such as a recipe called "chilaquiles" with a mouth-watering creamy sauce as

well as an impressive variety of cocktails. After having some side dishes and enjoying their

specialty of the day, green enchiladas, we ordered their amazing home-made pecan pie which left

us speechless. What's more, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the staff were very friendly,

always making sure we had enough sauces and drinks on the table. The walls were decorated with

portraits of old Mexican celebrities and the background music made the experience even more

enjoyable.

However, we were disappointed when we couldn't book a table for the following weekend.

Since it's a small place it's usually packed, so make sure you call them well in advance.

If you are in Valencia, you can't miss it! I'm sure you won't regret ordering some spicy bites at this

magical place.
