Philip Milton Roth (Newark, New Jersey, AEB, 1933ko martxoaren 19a) nobelagile estatubatuarra da. 1959an argitara emandako Goodbye, Columbus lanarekin lortu zuen arrakasta literatur munduan, 1960ko National Book delako saria eskuratuta . 1969an Portnoy's Complaint obra best-seller-a izan zen. Geroztik beste hainbat obra idatzi ditu, besteak beste bere alter ego literarioa, Nathan Zuckerman oinarri duten liburuak. Ildo horretako lehen nobela 1979ko The Ghost Writer izan zen. 1997an Pulitzer saria eskuratu zuen sail bereko American Pastoral obrari esker.
