Someone asked me to post all the flowers I see. I won’t do that but Here are a few from gardens plus some houseplants. I saw the first two, flowering quince and narcissus, in gardens along my walk and the third is another shy of the hellebore in the front garden which I’m basically in love with, and then the salmon pink primrose and the phalaenopsis behind it are on a windowsill. Yay springtime!

Two birds I saw at the park and woods this morning. The pictures aren’t good but you can see what they are: an eastern bluebird and a yellow-bellied sapsucker. The sapsucker’s head is blurred because not was making a hole in the bark so it could get to the sap.

Bloodroots are up and some like those in the 2nd picture clearly opened yesterday afternoon. If it stays sunny today more will probably open later. Then a string of gray days so I should probably check later. We’ll see.

Queen of the day. Bridget is one year old today! Her kitten days are behind her and she brings to the world her own brand of catting.

It’s Bridget’s 3rd birthday and I tried to get another picture of her in that hat but here’s what happened.

She did get tuna and a couple treats and later I plan to give her her favorite treat, one of those squeeze up treats in salmon flavor and a new toy. I don’t think I’ll try any more birthday clothing though.

More cherry blossoms from the end of March 2024.

On this day last year cherry blossoms were blooming in the park.
