Two birds I saw at the park and woods this morning. The pictures aren’t good but you can see what they are: an eastern bluebird and a yellow-bellied sapsucker. The sapsucker’s head is blurred because not was making a hole in the bark so it could get to the sap.

Going to the park this morning around sunrise to listen for whether any of these friends have returned from the south. It’s time for spring migration to step things up.

Forgot to post this garden visitor from a couple days ago. Looked fierce but also fluffy.

Juvenile male Coopers or female sharpshin hawk judging from size.
