buying esims is a bit more involved than some may realize– there are different plans available (1GB, 3GB, 5GB, 10GB), all different prices, all of which expire, meaning that you need to continuously replenish, or “top-off”, someone’s data plan once the esim is activated
(well– it’s not “needed” perse, but having a plan expire means the esim user must go through the arduous process of activating a new esim- which as stated above, are in extremely limited supply
maintaining an esim may not be feasible for everyone. if that’s the case for you- i strongly recommend putting money towards crips for esims. this project not only purchases esims, but keeps 3000+ esims active on behalf of their donors
