James and Sirius are supposed to be blocking each other’s spells, but think it’s funnier not to,

“The whole point of this spell is that you’re supposed to block oncoming spells, not dodge or let it hit you for shits and giggles,” McGonagall says, causing the whole class to stare at her in shock.  “What?  I can be hip with the youngins lingo.”

Sirius and James take one look at each other (both sporting each other’s spells of devil horns and bright colored hair and skin) and burst out laughing.  Naturally, they had been the ones that didn’t want to block spells and were interested in just letting them happen for ‘shits and giggles’. 

McGonagall is not terribly happy with the two of them, especially since now they’re laughing at her, but luckily for her the bell rings and they quite happily pack their bags and skip out of the room arm in arm, grinning gleefully.

It’s a good day.
