Very classic early 2000s/ late 90's horror/psych film that while not necessarily revolutionary, does what it sets out to do very well. Slow burn but has enough of a pace to not feel dragged on, direction and sound design are the stand outs of Session 9. The unraveling "mystery" and deterioration of the characters psyche is wonderfully haunting.
