the problem with wes anderson movies is that none of the characters ever feel real to me. it’s like they’re puppets and no one is hiding the strings but also at the same time i can’t see who is handling the strings… and the puppets are super pretty but that’s about all i can say about them…..

Synecdoche, New York 2008
my rental period expired twice before I finally watched this movie. which is sort of what happened to this guy except for with his entire life. oh to be a narcissistic male artist on a misguided quest & surrounded by never-ending women. I liked this movie. my favorite character was the therapist.

Fun and Fancy Free 1947
These reviews are full of snobby people who don’t know a good cartoon when they see one. Bongo shaped my understanding of love and possibly animal containment. In a good way.
