my favorite thing about this movie is the accuracy of everyone's casting with the exception of J.D. Vance, who in no world could pass for Gabriel Basso.
how did i land on such a loaded movie in today's political climate? i don't really know myself. i do feel like i've gained some clarity in what drives the political choices of rural poor white folks and the tensions between this group and 'elite' institutions.
