this is the cinematic equivalent of a little life by hanya yanagihara: softcore made for the shock value while working on a serious topic but poorly executed.

Golem 1979
in my attempt to understand more about the historical context of this tetralogy or the director himself, the more i've noticed the lack of study on the subject. which is a shame, because Golem is one of those films that you need to analyze thoroughly to enjoy it even more. and i see that happens with (almost?) every polish film in those years under the communist regime and its extreme censorship.
