Interesting and especially relevant tale on the current socio-political context and its impact on everyday people’s lives. And by "current socio-political context", I mean the one in which radicalization can grow its influence in the room next to yours, confusing your brother, son, loved one. The type of radicalization that operates through algorithms, screens and primitive theories.

Impressive performances by the cast. Noble technical effort by the camera crew and editors.

We so need healthy masculine representation and guides right now man

    It’s experimental, it’s modern, it’s real, it’s a breath of fresh air.
Impressively shot. It’s like if euphoria (2019) and Atlanta (2016) had a love baby. and then that love baby ended up having wes anderson and john singleton as mentors.

    edit:
not only is it as creative as it is provocative, but it was released in 2020… call that avant-garde

It felt like the documentary was taking itself way too seriously for what it actually brought. There’s this very dramatic tone throughout the watch, while we never really grasp if this organization had any real power apart from being ridiculous and (very surprisingly) brainwashing people. I would have wanted to know why they trusted Claude Vorilhon, and how was he able to convince them (the guy talks about scientific alien gods and being Jesus’ brother for crying out loud).

This was good! Very charming but felt kind of naive even if the movie is self-aware of that fact.

A feel-good reminder that everything turns out okay, even through the lingering goodbyes you must experience.

Call your mom. Take the time to slow down. Ask your loved ones questions. Be willing.
