Dune: Part Two 2024
you’re perfect <3
I don’t typically log rewatches but fuck, this movie means so much to me. I don’t have much to say, it leaves me breathless every watch. Generations before us had Star Wars, LOTR, these astounding trilogies that changed lives forever and this feels like we are finally getting ours.

A Clockwork Orange 1971
“Holy-fucking-shit”
repeated in my head over and over in just about every minute of this. Although it may not be my favorite Kubrick, it’s one that mingles in the back of my mind more than his others, whether I like that or not. A testament to the famous “what makes a film good or bad” question. Personally, how much I think of that film days after watching plays a massive part. It’s not the type of film I’d recommend to…

Le Samouraï 1967
A masterful display in minimalist noir. Alain Delon delivers one of the most quietly commanding performances to be put on a screen. Ever. I couldn’t fathom anyone else playing this role, better yet attempting. A calculated and methodical hitman who moves with the precision of a chess player. He speaks only when absolutely necessary while carefully observing and plotting what piece to move next.
Classy & ruthless, Jef is a paradox. Remorseless yet honorable, detached yet consciously governed by his strict code inspired by the way of Le Samourai.
Beautiful work from Jean-Pierre Melville. Amplifies a rainy night let me tell you.
