  This feels like an older film. Released in 1979 it feels ten years older, not in a bad way. It’s methodical and paced with intent to let tensions rise. The ambiguous ending adds to the tension and mystery. Eastwood, as usual, gives a solid no nonsense performance and the supporting cast gave room to become interesting characters. A top 5 prison movie

  Part one was a mess but had some cool visual moments and the design choices were cool. Part 2 is an abysmal mess. It’s one long third act that wants the under dog tension, but I cared so little about the characters I never felt any tension. The stakes feel so low.   The Unbinding 2023

  I love how considered and respectful Greg, Dana and the others are. This isn’t hyperbole and jump scares in the dark, this is a meditation on what we don’t know about the past and how, and by what means, entities from the past can still influence us today. 

  They have presented their story and reintroduced Mokosh to a wider audience. The archetype of the crone. I wonder if this will resonate wider and we will hear of more encounters with this figure now it’s name is known and the story is alive again.
