It's a little meandering in the second act, and I didn't find the cinematography to be on par with the sets, production design, costumes, and well—all other visual elements, but the musical numbers were good, and that's what really counts anyway.

Happy Feet 2006
My 1000th log on Letterboxd. Completely hamstrung plot with barely any characterization, this film runs like a Homeric epic of old. At first, you pick up on the horniness, next the religious themes, and then this film gets even weirder.
With all it's inventiveness, it's very easy to believe this is the same guy behind the Mad Max and Babe films. Absolute cinema. I love it.
