  Light on plot, focusing on mood and characters, then throws in a twist or two to stir things up. Not only is he already a confident, thoughtful director, but Saulnier is a great DoP as well. Low-budget cinema exists so guys like him could prove how good they are.

  Disclaimer: I'm not American, and I don't care much about politics, but seriously; if you expected Bay to handle a controversial international incident with any kind of impartiality or subtlety, you don't know who you're dealing with.
