I had anxiety once I was seated for this movie, because I couldn’t help but feel anxious awaiting whatever tragedy is going to slowly unfold and eat at this family. You can feel it on the other side of every wholesome moment of this family being supportive (and unsupportive) towards each other.
Really vibrant acting from all around the cast. Some great foreshadow work and subtle ambiguities that spill out through some shot choices.
Everyone in this movie tried to deal with the cards they were dealt rather than question the hand itself - and that always gets a star in my book.
