  My favourite moment was Lynch indulging in some weird kinky body horror shit consisting of baron harkonnen sexually harassing a boy whilst covered in blood oil and tumors and then a tacked on voice over is like "this is what I'll do to the protagonists as well", as if a studio note came in in real time saying "yeah sorry you just had to see this, but we swear it's important for the story". This and the documentary about Jodorowsky’s Dune are a great double feature about why the studio system should fuck itself.

  Biggest disappointment of the year. The first movie was such a clever spin on the classic Whodunit formula. This one is the complete opposite. It's dull, shallow, boring and most of all dumb (which is supposed to be the joke?) The first Knives Out slowly revealed the hidden mechanisms of inequality. This time Rian Johnson has nothing more to say than 'Elon Musk bad'. What a waste.
